A2i Bangladesh wins World Summit on Information Society Award
Access to Information (a2i) Bangladesh won the World Summit on Information Society Award-2014 today for its Digital Bangladesh Project.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak today received the Prize at the WSIS+10 High Level Event of ITU at the ITU Head Quarters in Geneva, said a press release.
Access to Information (a2i) Program is one of the most important projects under the Prime Minister's Office for building a digital Bangladesh supported by UNDP in partnership with the USAID.

Hasina for digital Bangladesh through her epoch making 'vision
2021' and outstanding achievements within a short span of 5 years
and bringing fundamental changes in providing services to 'Citizen\'s Doorstep' towards the pursuit of good governance, said the press release.
A2i project has been very successful for transforming Bangladesh into a middle-income country leveraging the benefits of ICT through changing the traditional method of public services delivery in Bangladesh.
In the last few years, the present government succeeded in almost all the sectors through the innovative use of ICT.
The world community has particularly recognized the achievements of the government through the project a2i and Bangladesh has now become a role model for others, said the press release.
