Team 'Engine' to take part in Microsoft contest

Team named 'Engine' formed by the students of BUET, AIUB and NSU for Microsoft Technology Competition will represent the country in upcoming world event to be held by July in Australia as the team secured first position in national contest.

The team achieved the position for its project 'Annapurna' that focused on "Ending hunger and poverty and Ensuring environmental sustainability".

Judges of the competition considered the subject as the toughest problem of the world as more than 1.0 billion people of our planet are living in extreme poverty and hunger, said the organisers.

From its technological solution, farmers and cultivators, small to large agricultural enterprises and agricultural decision makers will be benefited, the members of the champion team said at a programme in the city recently.
