State Minister for Science and Information & Communication Technology Yeafesh Osman urged the young generation to enrich their skills on information and technology to build a prosperous Bangladesh.

“Without advancement of information technology, it is difficult to ensure the country's entire development. You (youths) should work hard and enrich skills on information technology to present a prosperous and digital Bangladesh to the next generation,” he said.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a function to celebrate binary moment (October 10, 2010) on Carzon Hall premises of Dhaka University (DU) yesterday.

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and Bangladesh Math Olympiad (BdMO) jointly organised the event.

Speaking as the special guest DU Vice-chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique termed October 10, 2010 an important day and urged the youth community to vow to do something important and significant for the welfare of the people.

Presiding over the function, BdMO committee president Jamilur Reza Chowdhury called upon the students of engineering to invent more technologies by using binary numbers (0 and 1).
