38 Bangladeshi IT & ITES companies going for European B2B matchmaking tour
09 Nov 2014
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is going to organize three Business-to-Business (B2B) events in Europe under the framework of NTF III Bangladesh project in cooperation with the Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI). The events, focusing on IT & ITES industry, will be held in London, United Kingdom on 11 November, in Copenhagen, Denmark on 19 November and in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 3 December. A total of 38 Bangladeshi IT & ITES companies will be getting an opportunity to meet with European buyers for exploring outsourcing business opportunities to Bangladesh.
?Building on the work done under the previous NTF II project, NTFIII Bangladesh project will also organize B2B events in Europe & Bangladesh throughout the project until mid-2017. The objective is to increase Bangladesh?s IT & ITES exports, give business-development opportunities to Bangladeshi companies, which we hope to see resulting in more employment of young people, in particular women, who have great opportunities in the IT industry?, said the National Project Coordinator Md Mahfuzul Quader of NTF III Bangladesh Project.
BASIS President Shameem Ahsan said, ?This project has been working toward the development of Bangladesh IT & ITES industry since 2011 in cooperation with BASIS & DCCI. I am very happy to know the B2B events where a good number of Bangladeshi companies are participating and hoping they could make all success out of it towards achieving our One Bangladesh target.?
ITC is planning to organize similar B2B events through mobilizing trade delegations from UK, Denmark & Netherlands to Digital World 2015 in the beginning of next year. NTF III Bangladesh Project is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries).
